Satan

We believe

a. Satan (the Devil) was created by God as Lucifer, a holy angel, but, through pride and ambition to be as the Almighty, fell and drew after him a host of angels, becoming the enemy of God,  (Isa 14:12-20;  Ezek 28:12-17)

b. Satan is a murderer, a liar, a confirmed sinner, an accuser, and an adversary,  (Jn 8:44;  I Jn 3:8;  Rev 12:10;  I Pet 5:8)

c. Satan is the unholy god of this age and ruler of all the powers of the darkness and is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the lake of fire,  (Jn 12:31;  II Cor 4:4;  Rev 20:10)

d. Satan is to be resisted by the believer, and the believer should be ever vigilant against him using the whole armor provided by God,  (I Pet 5:8;  Jas 4:7;  Eph 6:11-17)

e. Demons are fallen angels that are in well-organized ranks with Satan as their head. They attempt to thwart the purpose of God.  Their destiny, like Satan, is the lake of fire.  (Eph 6:11-12;  Mt 25:41)
